Interview Questions
There is some information that you can provide that will help our experienced professionals become acquainted with your case. Our goal is to make the interview process as convenient and easy for you as possible, so if you would like us to come to your home, please ask. The more information you can provide at your initial interview, the better Dixon, Truman, Fisher & Clifford will be able to help you. The specific circumstances of your claim must be evaluated before we can proceed with your case. Here are some sample interview questions below we will ask to help you begin your case:
- What injuries have you sustained?
- How did the injuries happen?
- Have you received treatment for your injuries?
- Who are the other parties involved – family members affected, medical providers, witnesses, etc.?
- How do you believe this event happened, and who do you believe is at fault?
- Did the police investigate? Did they fill out a report? Did anybody make a statement at the accident scene?
- Had the other driver been drinking or talking on a cell phone?
- In what other ways has the incident affected you? (Medical expenses, a permanent impairment, disfigurement, scarring, nerve damage, emotional distress, fear of driving, loss of wages, lost vacation time)
- How seriously was your car damaged? Have you had estimates for repair? Do you need transportation?
- Did the person responsible for your injuries have insurance at the time of the incident?
- If you were injured in an automobile accident, did you have insurance on your vehicle at the time of the accident? If you were injured as a passenger in another person’s vehicle, was there insurance on that vehicle at the time of the accident?
- Did you have uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage? Collision coverage? What insurance limits did you have?
- Do you have documentation of the event and/or injuries? (Photographs, diaries, videos, shoes, clothing, damaged property)
- Has anyone from the insurance company contacted you? If so, were you asked to give a statement?
